Other way around, buddy. We still resent having lost in our National sport to the USA (although, I could root both ways since I'm a dual citizen) -- feels like a never-ending nightmare. If there is a USA vs Canada rematch in the gold medal game, that'll be epic.

Erm, so, is it The Stealthy and Lazuka Show now? I know I haven't been around, but still, upstaging me like that!

Root both ways... has a COMPLETELY different meaning in Australian slang.

That was the best game of hockey i've seen in a long time.

My friends and coworkers who practically never watch hockey all saw the game (in whole or in part) and talked to me about it (mostly consisting of friendly taunts, e.g. "What happened to Canada?!", etc.). I was quite surprised, lol. I guess it took that kind of match to get them even remotely interested.

No need for revenge in curling, we're dominating in both men's and women's events. Sadly, we fare much better at curling than in hockey in these Olympics, so far anyway... The official sport of Canada is actually lacrosse. Very strange!

I didnt think the game was that great - it looked like only one team had actually turned up.

Now after last night, Canada look like they have finally decided to show up.:)

You might have guessed I like hockey but GB are not in the same class

Funny enough that's probably right. Even if the TF gave scotty the name: "Little Constipated Girl Fart" he'd probably still like it.

Now guys , don't harrass Amanda too much. She is the only female left in this thread right?

Exactly! We weren't so mad the US won, but more so at the fact that the Canadian players did not seem to have any heart in it. Even though the US made mistakes too, they clearly wanted to win more badly than Canada did.

I can't wait to get home from work and watch the game against Russia today. It will be a tough battle.

Speaking of "class", GB has James Bond and we're all jealous. :)
