I'm trying to decide between the Canon ef-s 10-22mm lens
and the Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6 EX DC HSM AF Lens

Personal preference I think. Those with the Canon like it better, those with the Siggy like it better. Both are good.

The three Tokina cousins....

Tokina 12mm - 24mm f/4 PRO DX Autofocus Zoom Lens for Canon EOS Digital SLR Cameras. ($399.90 free shipping)
http://www.adorama.com …info=12-24mm+f%2f4+Tokina (external link)

Tokina 12mm - 24mm f/4 PRO DX II Autofocus Zoom Lens for Canon EOS Digital SLR Cameras. ($499.90 free shipping)
http://www.adorama.com …info=12-24mm+f%2f4+Tokina (external link)

Tokina 11mm - 16mm F/2.8 ATX Pro DX Autofocus Zoom Lens for Canon EOS Digital SLR Cameras. ($599.90)
http://www.adorama.com …searchinfo=11-16mm+tokina (external link)

Any of these three Tokinas are great lenses and excellent values. They all have constant apertures (f/4 or f/2.8) and come with lens hoods.

I don't know why I get a smiley face instead of the numeral "8". Believe me I typed 8.

They are built like tanks, provide excellent IQ and are delightful to shoot with.

I would recommend the Tokina 12-24 strictly because of it's build. My Canon 10-22, while always a performer, feels like a toy. Build quality aside, I LOVE MY 10-22! Probably my favorite lens to shoot with and you cant go wrong with any of these choices.

Actually, when you add the Tokina 11-16mm 2.8 to the mix, it actually makes the decision easier!

The numeral 8 followed immediately by a right bracket converts to a "cool" smilie here on the board. I normally put a space between the two to avoid this, or avoid putting an aperture size ending in 8 between brackets. :D.

Kind regards, Wim

The Tokina 11-16 f/2.8 is the best of the bunch. Its sharper, faster, and more solidly built of them all.

Ive tried them all and I like the Canon. It was a toss up between the 11-16 and the canon and bought the canon because the range is much nicer. The build and the optics of the Tokina are better.
