i shoot with 2 cameras majority of the time and normally bring at least 3 lenses.

30d
40d
12-24 tokina
28-70 2.8L
80-200 2.8L
small 50mm

i currently have ONE R-Strap but im not very comfortable.
i carry a shoulder, or sling, or backpack along with the 2 cameras because i need to house the other lens and a flash

problem is...i cant find a comfortable way to carry all these and free my neck at the same time

with my shoulder bag or sling...i have it crossed over my shoulder-waist
then the r-strap crossed the opposite way

the 2nd camera will hang on my left shoulder
but it kills my left shoulder after the day

the new RS DR-1 Double Strap from blackrapid looks good...but i dont know how im going to hold a bag...or even backpack

Could hang one camera off the backpack shoulder harness with a pair of ThinkTank Camera Support Straps (external link) of the Tamrac NP-11 Camera Straps (external link)

This will free the second camera off your neck and allow it to hang right in front of your chest.

We use them and they make for a great way to carry the camera without having the stress on your neck. Hike, walk all day long and never get stressed from the neck burn. Might be a good addition to the Black Rapid Strap

Here is a shot of my wife with the Tamrac NP-11 straps holding her 1D on the Backpack

It also allows you to carry the camera if riding on a motorcycle or on a bicycle with ease and at easy access

Look at the ThinkTank Rotation 360, a backpack designed to hang two cameras, one off each strap. It also allows you to access one half of the pack storage without taking the pack off.

You have to see the TT videos of the pack in operation to get the sense of its utility. http://www.rotation360.com/ (external link)

The clips are quick release and come off instantaniously (SP?) if you need to take the camera off or if you need to swap cameras

hm i had another idea

a small lens pouch that i can attach to my belt
i normally leave the strap holding the 80-200L and just let it hang with out a body...
when i need it its there...
but i have to reach into the bag to put the unused lens back in when i mount the body to the 80-200

hopefully my pants dont fall down

You say that you're shooting with two cameras... that will gather attention already, so I wouldn't suppose getting a belt system to free your shoulders will cause any more unwanted attention.

If it's possible, I would get one such system from Think Tank photo. Check out the recent review of the TTP modulus system.

I know the belt system is really useful for many pros. I don't do it. I usually dress according to the event, and sometimes, that means I'm in a dress. So, I have a helper. There's no other way. I carry my 5DII with a long strap like you said, across my chest with strap on my shoulder and the 40D around my neck. It's hard to hold all day. If I had to switch lenses, I stop and do it. Yesterday I had my 5DII with 100-400 and it was all I could do to stay standing for 4 hours at a soccer tournament. I can't imagine having the 40D with 70-200 2.8 IS as well. I just decided to not have 2 at a time. But the think tank belt system is a good alternative if you have the money.
