Here's a photo of our new studio in a near-complete state:

Shown: all Elinchrom lighting which I love (4x 600RX, skyport, EL Octa, EL strip, Deep throat, 54" octa), on Avenger A420 stands. The lights are hard-wired to PW so I can run them from the Seconic LM. I only have two colors of seamless, but that seems to be enough for now. I also have the 81/2" Elinchrom grid set but haven't messed with it much.
Still want an Avenger boom though.
I have not one regrettable purchase because of all the brain-picking I've done on this forum.
Thank you all!
Chris

Wow! Great set up.

It's also interesting that you are stood on a mat -- Why specifically?

VERY NICE!!

Which Avenger stand is that in the foreground that's holding what appears to be your fill light just above and to the left of camera position?

Looks like it's just standard white seamless paper.

All four of those wheeled light stands are the Avenger A420. And, Rob is correct, that is just a 9 ft roll of white seamless paper from B&H.
Oh, and we painted the walls 18 percent grey.

Thanks Chris. The perspective made it seem like the stand in the foreground was of mammoth proportion.

So, without booms, you're finding the A420 to be strong and stable with a 600RX and large modifier raised up to 8 or 10 feet?

They seem quite stable to me, although I'm using a 15 lb Impact sand bag on each.
Oh, the model, is Allison, our make-up artist.

Nice setup - are the strobes in the Strip and the Octa Profotos? They certainly don't look like 600RXs

EDIT: Just realised they weren't the rotaluxes

How are you controlling spill for non white BG work?

I haven't shot a lot here so far (four shoots total). Only one shoot with the black background. At that time, I used just the 74" octa and the reflector. I had no problem with spill light then with the octa rotated away from the BG paper.

Thanks, however I was asking about the model at your site who is featured on your on location video? Everyone should check out your site but particularly that video presentation. Just great! Thanks.
