Has anyone with a 50D had a problem with a slow mirror/shutter return?
I have just got another new body and the problem seems to be the same.

It sounds as if you're just shooting with a slow shutter speed.

That's an odd behavior to have, especially on 2 bodies. Is there any pattern to the occurrence? Does it always happen with the same lens?

So did you or anyone else ever figure out what was wrong with this 50D. I have a 40D that is doing the same thing. It doesn't usually affect the picture being taken, however sometimes it changes the exposure a little. It basically sounds like the camera is choosing a slow shutter speed. I have had this happen in Manual mode with the shutter set to 1/160 or 1/200 and also in Av in bright sunlight. This is absolutely random, but has been happening more lately. Kind of afraid really. Any insight would be great! Thanks.
