Jun 07, 2009 15:25 | #6 This was my first attempt at an Air Show. While I understand the importance of prop blur, I also had to have an argument with the '1 over rule' when dealing with 400mm lengths. 1/250 is ideal for the props, but difficult to get keepers at 400mm. I caved in and settled on some 1/400 shutters to mitgate the circumstances. 1DMkIII // 6D // 90D // 50 1.8 mkII // 24-70 2.8 L USM // 70-200 2.8 L USM // 580 EX // 430 EX // S3IS //

The T-bird shots are also good but the whites are a bit blown out but for a first time you did great ...well done . A little L goes a long way.

Shutterrific Member 55 posts Joined Jun 2009 Location: Ogden, UT More info | More great stuff Todd!! I had the same issue with the whites being a bit hot on the Thunderbirds. I still can't get over the sharpness on that first shot being at 1/250 handheld and a non IS lens. Great technique there.
