Any suggestions about a slideshow program that acts like a book? Preferably free.

You can do it in flash easily enough, although I hate those things.

Its not exactly free, $56 (external link), but it shows you that you can build it within flash. Maybe you can find a similar one for free on search engines.

If you are on a mac, one of the slideshow templates from iPhoto 08 is a photobook


Sold all my gear (again) to re-focus on enjoying time with my family
