Good pictures of the lightning. What is causing all the hot pixals? (red and blues dots?)

Awesome show we had, last night (I think we got your storm...). Sadly, I didn't get any snaps of nature's fireworks. Glad you did. They look awesome!

I noticed that the hot pixels seem to be consistent throughout each of your shots. Is that a maintenance issue, or something else, I wonder?

i was wondering the same thing on the hot pixels. these were 30 sec shutter times. do you guys have any suggestions as to why they would happen?
