well, i just thought of an interesting topic to make into a thread. just something a little fun.

well, it being late, and i having nothing to do, i counted how many pictures i need to go through. i currently have 345 pictures, not including my memory card in my camera.

so the idea of the thread is to share how many pictures you have on your computer/harddrive/whatever that you need to go through. this includes editing/deleting/or just converting.

well, have fun. i know i will for the next year! lol jp

LOL many thousands... Can't count them. I'd say at least 20,000 which isn't that much really. I take photos pretty carefully compared to some (especially sports guys with their 10fps bursts ;) )

I have a 3GB full and a 5GB about 2/3 full, plus what's on a little external 2.5" HDD I carry to connect that is 80GB. I have just shy of 14,500 on the HDD in my current laptop. I have very few duplicated folders on those drives, too.

Well, technically, I could go back and re-process all of them in some way. As far as images that are currently outstanding, there's only about 1,000.

My 5D file number is at 8080 and my Drebel is 6090 (which I rarely use anymore). I delete bad ones as I develop my RAW files and I deleted most of my photos from the first year I had my Drebel. I don't take 100s of photos per event as many people do with digital.

My Drebel is 5 years old and my 5D is 3 years old.

Only 345? How long have you had that camera? One day?

On my first few days of having my slr, I took over 800, Ok, admittely, there was an event going on, but only 345? That is not much to brag about:D

A lot. I need to go though around 10k. I have many many more thousands of pictures on my hard drives though. All of my client work gets archived across multiple drives both as raw files and as completed jpg tiff ect...I also keep working files saved with layers of each completed shot in case a client wants something just a bit different than the last version I gave them...

To go throw right now? Probably none. I have many that haven't been processed. Ones that I can go back and PP, maybe tens of thousands? How many I have total that I could process? Just under 55,000.

So, pictures that still needs selecting/editing/deleting you ask me...

Just a few gigs and festivals, 9 in total. Nothing which really has to be done as soon as possible, all must-do's are already done. Exactly 2100 RAW-files still waiting.

Outdoor glamour from April - about 40 images
Studio glamour #1 from April - about 60 images
Studiio glamour #2 from April - about 60 images
Indoor fantasy from April - about 40 images
Indoor glamour from May - depends on the client, but probably about 40 images
Outdoor fantasy from last year (not high on my priorities) - about 30 images

Do you guys all all of your pictures? I usually just edit the really good ones, or just the ones I'll use, but rarely every last one.
