Our home was flooded 5 weeks ago so between getting it back in order and work not much computer time or photography. Went out yesterday on my boat to shake the rust and clear the head.

Wonderful shots, Mike. I've been to Orlando wetland looking for these, but no luck. Where is the best spot to see them?

So sorry about your flood problems. Hope all is well now.

Whoa Mike, you must be thrilled with these, I know I would be.

Fantastic series, all are amazing but 1, 3 and 4 top my list.

A beautiful series. Hard to pick a favourite but I'm going with the first image. Great shooting.

Looks like you had a very productive day and a few weeks off has not hurt your ability to take awesome pictures.
Thanks for sharing

Very sorry to hear about your home. Was it the Montana or Florida place? I know they had serious flooding up in South Dakota lately. Anyway, these are great shots and wish you better luck.

So sorry about your flood problems. Hope all is well now.

The best spot is on the Kissimmee chain, most notably Lake Toho or Lake Kissimmee itself. Some times you can find a couple at the end of Joe Overstreet south of the boat ramp. Whooping Cranes there as well. Or you can give me a shout if you are up this way on a weekend and I can take you out

Not a act of God although 2 weeks ago we did get 13" of rain here at our home here in Orlando. We were out of town 6 weeks ago and the water heater busted. It was if someone had turned on a hose in the house and let it run for 5 days. Nothing sentimental lost, just a big expensive mess and the inconvenience of living in a hotel .

Thanks everyone for the kind words and I hope to be more active here in the future.

Thanks for the info, Mike. It will be some time before I try again, since I am leaving next week for Utah, Nevada, Colorado and New Mexico. Won't return until November.
