Spent several days this past week shooting in the Sedona, AZ area hoping to catch the full moon rising over the Cathedral Rock formation. First two days were clouded over and a no-go, but on the third day Mother Nature decided to cooperate. Here's a preliminary shot (haven't quite finalized the PP yet), taken with a Canon 5D Mark II, 100-400L at 400mm and a Kenko 1.4 Teleplus Pro 300 converter (560mm focal length). This will print out at roughly 20 x 40.

Interesting...

Last time I went up to try and get this exact shot, the moon rose about 70 degrees to the left of where (I think) you're shooting from. In fact, the lady at the Red Rock Crossing State Park told me that the moon never, ever rises directly behind the fingers.

Glad she was wrong...Great Image.
