I really like this photo, but I have a question...
The brightest part of the photo is the white fur just to the left of Lady's head.
Compositionally the rule is (and a part of me hates saying that) for the subject to be the brightest thing in the photo, so your eye isn't immediately drawn to the face because of the bright spot.
But, the photo is beautifully exposed, and her head is clear and sharp, so I'm a little conflicted.

Contrast is what focuses attention. In this case you are drawn to the face due to the background image being largely made up of highlights. The catchlights are the key here along with the white fur framing the face.
