I have to be honest at being a bit offended by shots like this as I am an All animal lover I dont see a need to to see water life or birds hurt, just no need for it.

Sorry just my oppinion about something I feel strongly about:-(

I'm sorry to offend you Pagman. It certainly was not my intention. I am a hunter, fisherman and a strong conservationist. I was brought up with the sport and taught to respect the animals I hunt. We eat our game and waste nothing. I also donate money to various animal organizations. Sorry, but that is my opinion.

I think we all have differnent comfort levels of what we can except, my problem is I have had pets that I respect that go from tropical/cold water fish to hens and chickens and then on to small birds and cats and dogs.
It even hurts me when I see a raptor go after a smaller bird.

I think sometimes we cope with things by taking our mind off things as long as we dont see things, I see birds as being very precious that includes - pigeons, gulls, geese, ducks and all none water based birds.

I did not find offence at your different opinion to mine I just felt uncomfortable seeing it on here.

My dogs are a huge part of my life. As an elderly person, they are much like my own children (who are grown and have their own families now). I have some photos of them making retrieves that I really cherish and enjoy. I will not make a habit of posting shots of them retrieving, but I wlll post some every once in awhile. Again, I do not mean to offend anyone.

I respect what you say and totally agree about dogs - our dog is our life we have no children or family so our dog is the life and soul of us, we teach our dog to get on with all other animals as well as we can from birds in the trees to cats and even small animals, also other dogs we like to keep her sociable around other dogs when we are out.
I have even had a rabbit as a pet and loved him, also a pet gerbal I respect and honour wolves and raptors (I love there spirit) but dont like what they do killing small animals.
I even respect house spiders I wont kill them just put them outdoors, the only animal that I really cant stand but wouldnt hurt is snakes, I cant even bare to look at them.
