Hey Duck, our screen names are sorta similar. I like the way you did this portrait shot of your buddy. He's kind of sitting on his own little patch of grass, separated from all the rest. That's a cool looking technique. His image came out really nice.

Thanks. It's actually a friend's new puppy. A rescue that was mistreated by it's previous owner.
As for the isolation technique, it's relatively easy to do in Photoshop but has a high impact with customers.
