Good strategy, if the OP has a second card to try. That card with the deleted photos should be quarantined until he has a card reader to use for rescuing.

Cheiri, you may already have an SD[HD] card reader built into a computer or printer. Canon is big on putting multi-format card readers into printers, like my MP960, out of the delusion that people direct-print.

Might try downloading Picassa from google.
The program will then search and file ALL of your computer pics and you can then easily access them.
Good Luck, Rob

No... I think they are gone. Searching doesn't work, the card recovery isn't working (I can't figure out how to make my camera appeare as a drive letter)... ugh. I really needed those photos. Thanks for the help, though, guys.

What do you mean searching doesn't work?? The PC doesn't see ANY JPGs? And what file recover program are you using...since you said file recover doesn't work? Sounds like you are shooting from the hip! Try a little patience, I know it's hard being a teenager, but you will get over it.

Doug, the OP was trying to run a recovery utility with the card plugged into the camera plugged into a computer. We urged the OP to do it with a card reader instead.

If the OS search function is not working it is unlikely that a third party program will do any better.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
