Reminder to self: Never buy Mike's used gear.

It's well taken care of during those times protected from the conditions thanks to Think Tank and sent to CPS at least twice a year for cleaning ;)

worst shooting environment, gonna have to go with a regatta I shot a few years back, pouring rain, windy as hell, probably 12-15 foot seas and a 20 foot boston whaler made for a pretty miserable day.

j/k anyway.

Still, your gear is actually used.

I think most gear is clean because it gets treated like jewelry.

Not my best 2 shots from the day but shows the elements the best. Rain + Snow + Lots of Wind + Being hit by paintballs =/= a fun time

We had a football game this past year where the kicker would set up, and the ball would blow over.....everytime. Had to get a guy to put a finger on it and kick it like a field goal for alllll the kickoffs.

Oh yeah, and it was back and forth between rain and snow, around 28-30 degrees. Stupid upper atmosphere.

This one was pretty bad... Night time, super heavy (constant) rain, cold (in the Austrian alps) and muddy. You can actually see my 580exII hanging from the orange mesh fence to the right of frame - it, and my 40d/24-70L combo performed admirably and lived to tell the tale.

I've shot in snow, rain, 110 degree days, and hurricanes, but my favorite thing had to be going up to do a shot from a helicopter with 25 mile an hour winds and pouring. Some genius thought it would look cool and found a dumb pilot to agree.

My worst was while x-country skiing in Wisconsin. Temperature was -22f with a wind chill somewhere around -80f. It was so cold that my 40 lcd would no longer work. First few shots I took off my gloves but within a few seconds I could no longer tell if I was holding the camera without looking in my hands. After that I kept the gloves on.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.
