I have the money ready to be spent on the 400 5.6, i trust no one but B&H and it been a month or more with this lense out of stock

any trusted places i could buy ( i don't trust amazon or ebay) am not in the US so if it is soft or there any kind of defects i can't return back and so far B&H is very reliable.

where can i buy it ? is it going to be replaced?

B&H..........Under the item details click on

I bought a $700 lens from Canoga Camera - smooth transaction, no problems, no phone calls, nothing but a prompt delivery of a well packed 17-40 f/4.

I also bought a camera from Beach Camera. They are good to go in my book also.

I ordered mine last month from Amazon and that's the last time I order a lens from Amazon (for the record I've been ordering from Amazon for 5ish years now with very few problems). When I ordered the lens it was in stock and a month later it was not shipped yet. I got an email from Amazon saying they were having a hard time finding the item and would ship it as soon as possible. I wasn't too happy about this so I canceled the order and got the 100-400 instead from B&H.

If there is no lens in stock at any store I wouldn't hesitate and buy a used one on Buy and Sell forum. There is no known problems with this lens so I wouldn't worry that much. Also you can save some $$$ when buying used one...

If I remember correctly there was the shortage of the same lens in BH last summer also...

Yea, They don't last long when they get um, but they'll have more in a week or two.
