i dusted off the camera and headed over to my sisters place to snap some shots of her young one. could i get someone to give me a hand and take the ceiling fan out of this shot if possible? thanks. i had to resize. if someone wants the original i can send it to them. thanks

first of all, you need to set your profile to "image editing OK" before anyone can edit your photo. Do that, and I'm sure a few people will give it a "go"

I looked -- it might be easier just to knock-out the entire background.

Or, if you can, just re-shoot this and increase the exposure as well.

I agree.... if it's a raw image, the exposure can be fixed in LR

unfortunately it wasn't raw. been a while since i did shot, and i left the iso up high. made a few mistakes. and i suck at photoshop lol and what do you mean familyjules set what? on my photobucket?

No, on your account setting for this site. See how my avatar has "image editing OK" under it? People on here can't edit an image of yours until you say they can. Just an POTN rule :)
Go under "private messages" on the top right hand side of the screen

Here's my quick and dirty try ...

I had a hard time keeping the realism of the baby due to the grain in the photo. Every time I tried to boost the colors, I'd end up with a plastic baby. This is a pretty tough shot to salvage. But, It's possible with more time and the right tools.
