Mushroom Dichotomy

1: a division into two especially mutually exclusive or contradictory groups or entities.
4: something with seemingly contradictory qualities.

This is the balance of life and death, made plain in under twelve hours. These fungi rise triumphantly in the night and are burned away come morning. That intrigues me beyond wonder. I'm now working on my first project with a medium other than photography. I've gathered all kinds of paper, which I'll be using for mushroom ink drawings, splatters, and pressings of mushrooms.

I photographed the mushrooms around midnight, then again at 930am.

To show how little I know about mycology at the moment, I thought spore prints were for artistic purposes only! I am doing a sort of spore print, but it's more of a pressing of the mushroom, stem, dirt and all. I'm also using ink caps (although they may be another species, they resemble shaggy maine's but w/o the shag) to do weird abstracto drawings.
