Take photographs off all the before and after and make a nice note, put it on the news wire. Someone will pick it up if for no other reason to make Noinkers look better. Maybe Canon just needs a kick in the arse to get there customer service in order.

My experience with Canon Irvine or Canon in general has been stellar so far. One of the reasons I'm staying with Canon.

Sounds like you'd have to pony up for a CPS membership in order to get somewhat decent service. I've got some dirt stuck in the viewfinder, but have been trying for months to get it off. I might as well leave it if Canon service is going to be crude.

that was suggested to me. but we are talking about canon's flagship DSLR which is on recall for the problem i was experiencing....plus the camera is under warranty.

i shouldn't have to pay several hundred dollars to get the camera fixed, and of course i pointed that out :D.

BTW, i'm not saying canon's service is bad; i'm saying that i had a bad experience with canon service and in the past the service has been excellent.

jumping ship to another brand because of one bad experience is just plain stoopid, unless you really believe the others guys are perfect.

in the future tho i won't assume the service will be perfect from canon.....

I'm a CPS member and dropped off my MIII Monday evening just before closing and got it back on Thurs. afternoon with the sub mirror recall fix done. Funny thing is when I dropped it off before I gave her my card she said it would be 7-10 working days. When I handed her the card she said " Oh, you should have it by the end of the week"

NJ was good to me. Mailed it out on a Monday, they got it Tuesday and Fed Ex tried to deliver Friday. That was a 5D MK II that had err 30 and a 24-70 that needed calibration.

Haven't checked for dust yet, but I'm going to be using it this weekend. I am only 180 some miles away, iirc.
