Brand New 40D Won't Turn On

I know this is up there with "did you plug it in" or "check the fuses", sometime the manufacturers will tape over the battery contacts for shipping.

Just a dumb thought, but maybe?

Well I heard back from B&H,

The 40D is discontinued so I can only return, not exchange...

I guess I'll be going with a 50D after all.

Both the 40D and the 50D are nice camera's. I'm pretty sure you'll be thrilled with the 50D once it arrives. I had an EOS 350D for years before I upgraded, but once I got the new camera there was no turning back. Good luck, InsaneSkippy.

I ended up being too impatient, and went to a local store to buy the 50D, since I'm sending back the 40D tomorrow.

Ended up getting the 50D for the same price I could have gotten it online, but I have it in my hands tonight :D
