I have tried to use the HDR feature in PS Pro, but I was disappointed in the results. I then took the same five exposures and put them through Photomatix first, then minor adjustment in PS Pro. These are the entire picture, and a 100% crop. Anyone with thoughts??

I have to agree.

Keep practicing, and always remember that HDR is very subjective, do what you feel is best!

Thanks for all your comments. Looking at the full picture, I can agree it looks a bit bright. The enlarged area is the far corner of the building, which I wanted to look at closely because it had trees and such in it, but I now recall that I focused on the foreground corner of the building, and so the fuzzy nature of that far corner could be as much due to DoF issues as anything else. I seem to recall that I was using F11 to try and use the "sweet spot" of the kit lens, but perhaps should have used a larger F-stop to mitigate any DoF issues.

Anyway, the one thing I did learn is that Photomatix is WAY better than the HDR feature in my PS Pro. I will continue to experiment with it, but likely will buy the unlock code soon . . . great program!

I have looked at many of the HDR websites, and watched the video (linked in the sticky), and it seems that Photomatix is a top program. I'm sure there are others just as good, or perhaps with a tool or two more, but for this price (and full feature try before you buy ability), I just don't think I will look much further.

Again, thanks all . . .
