Another Self Introduction (feel free to skip!)

Hey Everyone! I guess there isn't an "Introduction" thread? I just wanted to have a post introducing myself so as to not simply jump into a conversation un-announced!

Long time lurker here - first time poster. Just wanted to say hi! I figure I should make my first post somewhat worthwhile. So I just wanted to say that I visit quite a few forums for various interests of mine and I must say that this is a forum filled with incredibly pleasant and helpful folks!

Currently, I shoot with a 20d that I picked up from a hobbyist last summer for a good price (IMO) just to get a feel for dslr's... I quickly noticed that I love taking pics of my family and friends (or just people in general) - so I guess you could say I am into portraits!

I guess that's all for now... here's hoping I can contribute to further conversations and critiques!

lol.... I just saw that there are numerous self-intro threads. Thus, I wanted people to know my feelings would not be hurt if I was over-looked! but then I realized... "feel free to skip" may cause people to actually look.
