Does anybody out there know from personal experience whether or not a Sigma 150-500mm f/5-6.3 APO DG OS HSM can be used with a Canon EF Extender 2x II?
We have a customer who has hired the Extender to use with his lens. But he says it doesn't seem to fit. (We were careful to point out to him that we didn't know whether it would fit, but he wasn't prepared to wait until I could get a definitive answer.)
I suspect that the rear element of the Sigma may not be recessed sufficiently to allow the Canon Extender to fit, in which case he's got no chance. Can anyone confirm whether or not that's the situation? Is there some other more subtle reason why it won't work? Or is he just doing something wrong?
