Oh yes it did, it caused the price of the MKI to bounce low significantly (like in the $900-1100 usd range), then slowly bounce up a bit the other way after the "newness" of the MKII wore off. That $900 to $1100 low was unfortunately missed by yours truly! I can be an aggressive shopper but after seeing the features difference between the 5D and 5DMKII, I didn't try too hard. Jun 12, 2009 15:10 | #11 I think we will see new 1D Mark IV and 60D introduced first before the 5D Mark II will be available that cheap. What can happen though is $200 drop in next couple of months and than maybe 5D Mark II will be available in Fall rebates for another $100 less. This will bring the price close to the $2000 but not under... Greg Gard
