After I miss a couple thousand keepers that I could have gotten while waiting for the day.

(I still wish I had a 5D classic, sigh)

I purchased my 5D MKII for 2318.00 with free shipping and no tax. I used Microsoft cashback program and combined it with a special promotion from my bank and then put the purchase on my credit card for an additional 'card discount'.

I have been shooting with my 1D MKIII and the 5D is like driving a different car. Different layout of the controls!

I have a wedding on the 20th and will be the first with the 5D so I will see how it goes. My second shooter will probably be using the 1D for a bit and then we will change cameras.

My only regret - not getting the 24-105 with it. I could use another one!

That's a great price for a 5Dmk2.

A year from now.

I'm sure the 60D will be out by then already. My future plans will be a 60D and 5Dmk2.
