There is always something neat to shoot anywhere you go,

Not traveling very far, if you already live in Richardson Texas there is Owens Spring Creek Farm (Owens Country Sausage) on Plano Road near the intersection of Greenville Road. There is a neat museum and historical house there. Down below the museum (which is neat in itself) is a stable complex that kind of hidden where they once kept horses and some exotic animals. If they still keep show horses there they might upon request pull one out so you can take some photos, and the building and stables will serve for a really nice backdrop. This will cost you nothing except the time to drive over there to see because walking around the place is the only way to really get in and into the “Restricted” areas with a guide. If this is still there it is a hidden treasure, and they had a stable attendant there who was always friendly. They had a team of horses and an old wagon just like Budweiser beer but with the Owens name on it.

Downtown Plano has some really nice old structures in the downtown area, including the old original high school that serves as the administration building and clustered in the blocks around that area are some really neat old Victorian homes. (This is located one block west of the DART rail line in Plano)
