Well I am personally terrified of jellyfish, but I managed to get some shots of them in captivity! Eeek. Let me know what you think!

That looks cool. I can say from personal exp. Captivity shots of these guys is not a bad thing.

I was stung by something whilst dangling my legs off the back of a yacht about 400 miles from Australia. Got vinegar on it less than a minute after it happened but I was still in agony with my ankle swollen twice the size of normal. The marks from where I was stung were visible for about four months.

Great shots... captivity is definitely the way to get them!

Thanks guys. I haven't done any post processing to them. It's just weird lighting in the tanks.

It was a Canon 5D Mark II. It was at an aquarium so the tank was probably like 10,000 gallons +

Lovely "outside" underwater captures! Yes, you really do NOT want to be in a body of water close to either the dreaded man-o'-war and/or the box jellyfish!!

Very cool shots. That tank lighting gives the shots a very ethereal quality.
