Okay. I know everyone on this site has different standards for what they consider to be a good tripod head, and of course what kind they prefer. I already have the legs settled from my dad's old tripod, but his heads broken. So that means I need to get a head.

I will be using it 99.9% of the time for landscape type shots, not any kind of portraits. I know that most people prefer the more expensive brands, but I am not a pro and can not justify buying something like that yet (and would not mind upgrading when the time comes). The amount of weight I am going to be using will be around 5 lbs. give or take. (30D/Grip/28-135is) So because of this, I am sure that there has to be a decent head that can provide what I am looking for at a reasonable price (around $50-70)

Manfrotto heads offer a "mid price - mid quality" range of heads, covering every type imaginable. They are not the best, but then their prices are not high either.
