at Jewel Wetlands, but there he was and didn't seem too bothered by me. Unfortunately I only had my 40D with 17-85 lens :(

Thanks Steve. Yeah he seems big, I'm wondering if maybe he's not a young one though...just seems young to me.

I was told there was an owl hanging out there in the wetlands, but had not seen anything til now. I'm wondering if there wasn't a nest and this is one of the fledglings.

Nice catch, I'd be willing to say it was a juvie by the coloration, downy looking head and lack of the "horns":D well done.
