I'd think so ;)

As cool as the 5D is, I really think you can squeeze that much more out of the Mark II, and especially since you're getting the accommodation, you might as well take advantage of it. I think that in time, when you go to upgrade/switch cameras, you're going to wish you went for it.
Anyway, I cant think of many other cameras that fit your personal needs as much as the MII.

Will the video functions be of any use to you?

If so, go for it.

I`m not sure what your asking about handling the data.

I have a card reader to transfer the data, but any PC with USB can handle that easily. If your talking storage related to hard drive size...., then your only limited by the HD size itself. Most of today`s PC`s have 500 plus GIG HD`s and should provide plenty of space. External drives are cheap too.

My PC is a 2.4 Mhz Intel CPU on the Intel DX38BT Extreme motherboard with 2 gigs of DDR3 Ram, two 500 gig Sata H/D`s configured in a RAID setup with the NVidia 8800 GTX 512 card and USB 2.0.

But can you edit the files in photoshop and have the computer perform reasonably? Batch processing 21mp files can slow a computer to a crawl.

I have a 2.93 ghz macbook pro with 4gb of ram, and my computer occasionally fumbles 15mp 50d files.

Unless you need video, I would invest in glass.

I use the Canon DPP software to PP my photos, then convert them to full size Jpegs before I use CS2 to auto contrast and resize for web use.
I don`t know if CS2 can do a better job of PP than DPP will.

My CPU is a Quad Core, but when using photo editing tools. I think the bottleneck would be your video card.
