bit like tripod manufacturers really - there's ones that do the engineering and make stuff that works properly year after year, and others that make the cheapest product they can get away with. With copper prices the way they are, it isn't difficult to see why reducing thickness of wires saves them a lot of money...

Agreed. I have had a couple where the pins do not make contact at all, on one outlet, and one that had no power to any outlets.

Why not just leave it on the market?

See Scotts comment :)

Open home every weekend, having to keep tidy with kids.
I wanted to be in the SI by Jan 2010. Sold and moved.

Also in my travels today, went past Western Park (Ponsonby Road) where they are starting to erect this:

Would be a cool night shot (provided you could get a clear view)

QUOTED IMAGE

What did you use to process those HDR's?

Cheers, Paul.
If it moves, shoot it. If it shoots back, get a bigger lens.

15 exposures! I'm surprised you still have so much dynamic range in the photo! Actually not bad for an HDR. Seems to have sharpening problems though, or is this as a result of the HDR?

Just a bit of an experiment really shooting tethered, 9.9 stops, hmmm yep, the first & last exposures were pretty much 0,0,0 or 255,255,255

Not sure about the sharpening, this is pretty compressed (somewhere around 45%). Full size image looks fine.

Well, parking would have been a problem,..... wasn't really motivated to do much work this morning,...... I needed a new phone anyway,.......

Must be a couple of other excuses I could come up with but they will take some time
