I suspect my son has a similar 'problem' (he was the one who married Steph in Levin in 2007)

Cool - Shaun didn't mention it - he keeps meaning to send pics over but somehow doesn't get around to it.

Lance thanks for the info, the exif in the comp thread says 65 mm focal length, I couldn't equate that with macro :o

Okay... I am trying to shoot tethered to my notebook... so far it works, and I've managed to get Lightroom 2 to open the photos... BUT, is there a way to just keep on shooting and have the pics pop up? At the moment, I have to keep on clicking 'import' even when I've set 'auto-import'... any ideas of thoughts? Ta!

When I shoot tethered I use lightroom.
You need to use the EOS utility and copy the photos automatically to a directory.
Then in lightroom there is a setting which can be used to watch for photos in a folder and automatically copy them to another folder and show them automatically.
It works well, but it doesn't automatically rotate the images (Not that I know of), and each time the connection to the camera is lost you need to re-start the EOS utility, and after the first photo bring Lightroom back into the foreground.

Do a google search for "Lightroom Tethered shooting". Loads of good results on the setup.
