Well, your not doing it right!

Tim, I borrowed Duncan's 1DMk3 over the weekend, didn't have any tests in low light (just the opposite in fact) but the AF has to be experienced to be believed. Compared to my 30D, there is no comparison. You should really try one.

In fact, you should talk to Warren as he uses one for his weddings.

Will be hopeless for photos as it will be dark, but still fun i'm sure :)

looks like there might be more fun to be had on the Thursday morning...

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

You're all too far north! I'd love to try a 1 series but I just can't get my hands on one. Though if anyone who has one wants to rent it to me i'd be happy to pay a decent fee.

I have a D700 for my next wedding, I think, having a 1D3 side by side would be interesting but perhaps a bit much to try all at once.

I think you would break your back from lugging the things around.

I see the roads in the area are closed from 6am to 1.30pm on Thursday. Any idea as to what time the cars will start running ??

I will be there.

Yep they are quick. Great for motorsport. They just lock onto the subject no waiting.

Is every one ok? I do hope there is not a serial GKPE stalker / exterminator loose!

Over 24 hours since the last post - it must be a record!

I'm fine.
Went into town yesterday as I have the time which I normally don't have.
Checke3d out a few camera shops, but I don't need anything at the moment.
Also was looking for a screen for my new Projector.

I'm silently waiting... drumming my fingers and sighing a lot - waiting for my new 24-70 to arrive!!
