Is every one ok? I do hope there is not a serial GKPE stalker / exterminator loose!

Over 24 hours since the last post - it must be a record!

I'm silently waiting... drumming my fingers and sighing a lot - waiting for my new 24-70 to arrive!!

Ooh, nice. You got the brick

Bit slow so I'll put up a few from the weekend.

Here's Mr Murphy in front of someone else!

In need of a wheel alignment!

And finally, one taken by my son from the stands using the 30D @ 200mm (very heavily cropped) but great timing!

I've had a camera day today.

Been shooting some film on a Leica M6 and the f/2 50mm Summicron. Mock all you like, but no camera I've ever used is such a tactile delight to use as this. Beautiful, beautiful thing.

We then spent an hour faffing about trying to make various holes in foil for a $20 Whitcoulls pinhole camera.

I contemplated buying some lenses, and then a Hasselblad 500C but then thought maybe I ought to behave.

Then went to this year's Panasonic roadshow launch thing, and got to play with the current Lumix cameras, including the not yet available G10 and G2. I suspect the G10 will be cheap as chips and be very useful, and the G2's kinda OK. Messed about with both of them with their 7-14mm wide angle and the Leica 45mm macro, but actually had more physical fun shooting with the $150 Yashica F521 'Digital Holga' capturing the fun of us messing about.

Oh, and Ma'a Nonu came in for his passport photo...

Cheers, Dave.

Yep, nifty was with me... and should be with John_Rich in Manila this weekend. Oddly enough, the excitement to have Nifty was not as great as when the original Nifty first came... What was it they said about sequels...? ;)

Power cut in Wellington CBD, it took out pretty much the whole business district and plenty of other places too. It went down about 3.30 so I went to the gym and got home early. Sucks when that happens ;) It was down an hour but by then everyone had left pretty much every workplace I bet.

I guess that the Leicas are probably retro enough for you. ;)
Actually I would love one at the moment while I can't hold anything with the right hand.

Must be a reason they get rave reviews from anyone who uses them

As far as I remember, the men in white coats come and give you one.
Ha ha, ho ho, he he .
There coming to take you away!

Welcome by the way.

bugger... so it's not only us jaffa's that have to put up with third-world utilities :p

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

Hi John, all's fine down here except the weather for the weekend. Family is all well. When are you going to come and see us again?

I did invite Cory. You know how friendly and welcoming I am! And it appears to me that he might be a southern man, like myself.
