I haven't actually looked. My initial impression was the 1D3 did great at formals and did pretty well with the 70-200 in low light. The 7D did the same for formals and better during low light. Thing is the 7D has failed me in the past. The 1D3 is definitely a nice camera though.

I'm still planning on trying a D3s as soon as I can get my hands on one.

Can't you shoot left handed? Or use a tripod and remote? :)

joeseph wrote in post #10159138 (external link)
good to hear!

if you're right-handed, try setting up a camera on a tripod & take some shots sometime, purely using your left hand... it's a lot harder than it sounds.
Would probably be possible if you had an assistant do all the setting up & packing away, but next to useless otherwise.

Yes.
Actually I can use my right hand, but can't move it above my chest.
On Friday I did take some pictures using a tripod and cable release.
It was difficult, but was with another photographer, so he set everything up for me.
I'm at a wedding on Saturday and am considering taking my monopod & trying to photograph with that.

Speaking of which, I bought some Lederhosen the other day for the wedding as it is a traditional wedding in the countryside and everyone will probably have trachten (Traditional dress) on. Also I have another 3 to photograph this year, so Leaderhosen are comfortable and hard wearing for lying on the ground etc.

I'm not sure sure why it is so funny, but the word lederhosen just always cracks me up....

My favourite German word is Dudlesack. Try to guess what it is before looking it up.

Lederhosen is a direct translation
Leder = Leather
Hosen = Trousers.

Does one keep one's Dudlesack in one's Lederhosen?

Not unless you really want to impress the girls, though I think it would more scare them off.

I spelt it wrong. = Dudelsack

I had to cheat and look it up - makes perfect sense now.

My cousin had a large dudelsack that he would break out at any opportunity, and he was always very popular with the ladies.

I don't suppose one could store ones' Dudelsack in the shed next to the waterblaster?

*looks it up*

Good to hear you have job interviews to go to.

My News.
After a month on sick leave, I am working again today from home.

I had a post op checkup yesterday & unfortunately everything didn't work as it should have, however there should be enough stability that I can use my arm normally. But I have to keep my shoulder immobile for an additional 2 weeks. So still no car driving, photographing etc.

Thanks Peter. Onward and forward then! As they say, no other way but up -- glad to hear you are on the mend.
