Even if you can prove that an error occurred before you sent something in for repair, if you sent it in after the warranty period then it is no longer in warranty. Also the 200 I paid for my camera was for focus adjustments and replacement of the selection wheel and is not related to the lens so they are not prepared to reduce the charge!! @rse-holes!! It might be cheaper to send it to Toshio in the US than to have it done locally. Professional wedding photographer, solution architect and general technical guy with multiple Amazon Web Services certifications.
