oh no.... suppose placemakers is closed too...

good to see you're keeping your sense of humour - sounds like you need it. Can't think of anything useful we can do from here but if there is, please let us know.

Hey guys - good morning to you all ..... All safey down here donna I and the kids a little shaken up but still here :-) - still rumbling along down here last shake was at 4.10 am and was just up the road (less than a 1 km west) mesured 4.1 and was very shallow. House is still standing but is damaged - inside was wrecked. We were very lucky. Got tent in the padock set up and two sets of emergency supplies in the cars. The ground here has not stopped moving . It's like being on a boat.
A massive thanks to all the people that have sent msgs of love and support. Catch you all soon ......

Thanks John.
Actually we celebrate fathers day on another date here. Funny but Mothers day is the same date.

Us dads need to feel special... hence the number of father's days around the world! :)

Saw the set on facebook lil_miss, love it!. Good to see an emphasis on framing and making the most of the dramatic scene.

Blogged my latest set and did a little technical write up + banter.

Yeah its not flash at all! Very bumpy night, our house suffered more damage in one of the 5.4 shakes! I am seriously sick and tired of being sooo on edge! Someone text's me and I jump! We now have the army patrolling the streets, looters have already been arrested! There are road blocks only the only road still standing into brooklands patrolled by army also and building inspectors going door to door putting a green, orange or red sticker on the house, a red is NOT good. Rumours are flying around about all sorts of things and no one has a clue what to believe, its seriously straight out of a movie! Think I'll go change the sign from "Welcome to Brooklands" to "Welcome to Baghdad!"

And in amongst all this i getting texts and phone calls from people wanting to know where their order is - LOL

On the upside, if you were in a third world country everything would've collapsed, there'd be no-one to stop the looting, no support available, no food, no water. At least we have the basics. Having said that it sounds absolutely horrible, but maybe thinking about what'd have happened if it was worse will help keep the chin up.

People probably don't know you're in Chch, I didn't. A quick email should make people patient.
