Focus is good, #2 is perhaps the sharpest. OOF object in #1 foreground detracts a bit plus his right arm is abruptly amputated. Beaming smile, though, so #1 is engaging in that respect. Eye-contact with the camera in both photos. I'd have to say I prefer #2 overall, it's nearly perfect -- looks almost posed. Too bad about losing his right pinky, but nothing fatal. You could optionally clone away the distraction behind the top of his head, but if it were me, I'd leave it as is. Excellent results, especially #2 -- maybe even Bad to the Bone.
