Hi All

I was planning to pick up a 50D and was procrastinating for the last 15 days. It has cost me more than 140 USD in price increase. Is there a reason these prices go up. Or did Canon increase prices?

Any indication of the prices will come down?

regards

Walmart has it for 1240 USD. Ships in a day

Also if you buy thru bing.com , u get a cashback close to 60 USD.

But you have to pay a tax of 80 USD

check it out

they must come with a full tank of gas.

Seriously, though, it's got an upside. I bought some high end lenses recently (used) and I can now sell them for a profit. Imagine that. Not many consumer goods go up in value.

father's day & other seasonal price increases? Or is this an official Canon price increase?

Lenses I have been watching on Amazon have been restocked and are back at their old prices like 70-200 f/4IS was $1,025, after rebate, yesterday, but who knows it might be more today.

This has been widely discussed, the manufacturer's even put releases out that said regretfully we have to increase prices.

My 12-24 I bought a few months ago for under $600 is now pushing $900! Had I known prices were going this high, it would've been a better investment than my IRA!

Sigma had a notice on their website.

Canon dealers had a blurb saying that Canon can no longer absorb the increase, blah blah...

I just pulled the trigger on my 50d last night... still got a deal through my work, but 1208 shipped seems like a best case scenario at this point... wish I caught it at $1150 2 weeks ago though.

Can you share the seller? Is it the 50D Body only?

well as I said, got a deal through work, went through Dell. $1299-7%, shipping to a friends in tax free NH, then free upgraded shipping. I couldn't beat it anywhere..
