I like the shots a lot. I think the composition would've been awesome if you would've had the rock with the starfish on it in the immediate foreground of the image, that way my eyes aren't struggling to see the detail on them.

My advice: move closer. Otherwise, great images. Keep up the great work.

Wow! Nice series man! Too bad you can't see detail in background to the right of the photo. :(

Yeah I know. Thing is I had to choose between the sky and water or the rocks (which were in shadow) or all of them which IMO would have rendered the shots unreal.

Thanks for the comments folks ;)

I really like the last few, the colors are more dramatic, although I very much like the composition in the first couple photos as well. Very nicely done!

Do you have a set of GNDs? It may be time to invest in a set if you are taking shots of this caliber.

Just a thought.

Hi John :D

I have a set of Cokin Grads and I don't like using them, colour casts are awful with them IMHO, I am saving for some Singh Ray's though ;)

For these shots I used the Singh Ray Vari-N-Duo with 3 bracketed exposures. The sky was either very dark or brilliant so would have involved some DRI work even with using a GND. I hand blended 3 exposures to get these shot's for the most part.

I did have a good exposure on the right hand side cliffs but no matter how much tweaking I did they just didn't look right :o
