I want to get a circular polarizer, especially with an upcoming vacation to the beach. My lens lineup is as follows:

Tokina 11-16 (77mm)
Tamron 17-50 (67mm)
Canon 70-200 f4L IS (67mm)
Sigma 30mm (62mm)
Canon 50mm 1.8 (52mm)
Canon 85mm 1.8 (58mm)
Canon 100mm 2.8 macro (58mm)

I'm assuming the CPL will mostly be used with the 3 zooms for landscape work. So, can I just get a 77mm filter and use a step up/down (can never remember which it is) to make it fit the 67mm ones? Will I get vignetting or any other problems doing that? I'd like to avoid buying multiple CPLs for now, at least until I see how often I use it.

Also wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts on the Hoya Pro 1 Digital line of CPLs. I'd rather not spend $130+ on a B+W or other top-end brand if the Hoya provides good results, as I'm not a pro and am not sure how much I'll use the thing yet. Anyone using the Hoya with a UWA lens like the Tokina? Any vignetting?

Any input is appreciated.

I am thinking about a B+W myself for my 11-16mm (besides, it shares a commen 77mm threading). Although the saturation and colors produced by the Tokina is nice, there is a few things a circular polarizer would help with like rainbows and a few other Atmospheric Phenomenon

I cant comment on vignetting but I have heard with ultra wide lenses and circular polarizers, uneven Polarization of the sky can be a result. Personally, I WOULD spend that much (and probably more) on a quality piece of glass going in front of your lens, but that is just me.

I just got a Tokina 11-16 and checked it with a standard frame B+W MRC polarizer. No problem with vignetting so no need for a slim version.
