My grandson has a 5D and he really wants this Lens. I am thinking about buying for him this lens for his upcoming birthday. But the lens according to Tokina ad is for APS-C sized sensors camera. Can this lens be used on FF cameras ? If yes then why Tokina doesn't say so on their ad ?
Thank you very much

It can be mounted safely, but will vignette throughout most (?) of it's range.

It's only the CANON made EF-S lenses that can actually damage the body/mirror on a full-frame body. Sigma DC, Tamron Dii, and Tokina DX lenses can be safely mounted, but (as mentioned above) will vignette when used on a FF or 1.3x body.
