My sister in law got a new puppy, so I snapped a few pictures before it got dark. This is Ronin. Comments and suggestions appreciated.

Good photos ... dappled light in #1 , great expression in #2 .. both very cute. Black dogs are tough.

Compare this to our puppy , Louie ( another thread )... almost the same markings , but NO shepherd in him. Harsher light ... I think I used fill flash in my next pictures because of the light. I wish I had one that showed the similarities in the markings

Thank you all for the comments, I think he's going to be a big dog-if he grows into his feet.

I love the name Ronin and I love this image. Always great to get a few before their ears go up. I thought this original image had a blue cast to it. Below it I posted a corrected (I hope) version.

I think this looks better. I hope it looks better to your eye as well.

Great correction---Thanks! I still haven't figured out this whole black dog thing. We saw him last weekend (10 weeks old now) and he has grown already. He has a really sweet personality.
