Rattlesnake Canyon is in the same valley as Upper Antelope Canyon.
It is more open at the top, so there is more light in it.
It is not quite as popular as Antelope Canyon. So much so, that I was completely alone in the Canyon while I was wandering around. bw!

Some people hunt with a gun. I use a Canon.

Nice work. Never heard of rattlesnake canyon. I assume it is south of Antelope. How do you get there? I assume it is on Navajo land. Do you pay a fee?

Thanks folks. :)

Yes, the canyon is on Navajo land. When you get in the gate, and get on one of their vehicles (you can't drive yourself to the canyon anymore), Rattlesnake is on the right, about halfway to Upper Antelope.

And yes, there is a fee. I paid for a guide, but it was more like paying for access as far as Rattlesnake Canyon went. She dropped me off on her way back to bringing others back to the front gate. She said she'd be back in an hour to get me. 8-)

I remember seeing that slot. Now I wish I had gone in there. when in upper, I paid for the 'photo tour' but the regular traffic didn't allow us special time or settings. I had much better luck being alone at Lower Antelope. Note to self: next trip, must try Rattlesnake.

Actually, my guide (Carol Bigthumb) was awesome. She stopped all of the people just so we could get our shots on her photo tour.
She would go ahead, and make sure that nobody came from the other direction, and one of her boys kept folks back from passing us.
We did have to stop a lot in order to let people go past us, but I was in the Canyon for a little more than two hours.

Then on to Rattlesnake. If you saw a ladder climbing up the rocks, into a slot, that was it. :)
