So here is the deal,
For the last two weeks Microsoft fails to pay the cashback owned for the EX 580 flash I bought back in April.

Their explanation is: "We were unable to deposit your funds to your Paypal account."

Paypal claims that there were no attempts from Microsoft to deposit funds.
I have never changed neither my Paypal account for the last n years nor my cashabak account so their explanation sounds phishy. Every time I contact them they proudly inform me that the case is passed to another department. When I contact that another department they claim that case has been passed to one more departmnt, etc...

I guess Microsoft ran out of funds and now is trying to play games.

It happened during last round of rebates end of Jan begining of Feb this year too. The problem was resolved a few days later. There was a glitch in the system (or so they said). Just contact customer support.

There is a new option on Microsoft cashback through Bing- they apply the $$ to your account immediately. I got the confirmation within 30 minutes of using Bing to purchase a monopod on ebay. Can't remember how they told me about the instant program, but it works well. No more waiting 60 days for the credit.

Not all purchases/participants qualify for the instant cashback unfortunately.

With that said, I've had NO problems with the cashback, my payback amount is close to $600.

The same thing happened to me before before on Livesearch. It took them more than a month to resolve it. Same excuse. I personally think it is a delaying tactic. On my part at stake was around $30 in cashback funds. I checked with them every week and I kept getting canned emails. Considering that this was an issue before, and it is happening again, it is quite unfortunate that their old "issues" did not go away with their supposedly new and improve name and product.

Yeah, happened to me during the Jan/Feb round of rebates. I had about $600 worth of rebates that were due and I kept getting the can't deposit error, after about two weeks it finally went through.

I've been in the same situation for over a month. MS says call PP, PP says call MS. PITA.
