One of the bumps in the road at Bonnaroo was the amount of photographers in the photo pits. At some of the tents you were squeezed so tight that you found a place and stayed there. What I tried to do was get into a pit earlier (often leaving a stage before 3 songs to get to another stage before the masses) find a spot on the edge of the stage, shoot from there, then go into the wings with my longer lens and then see if I could find another angle. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't.
Ani was a crowd favorite, as well as a 'tog favorite. Things get mighty hot when it's 90 degrees, outside and everyone is mashed up against each other. Thick mud in the photo pits didn't make things much better. I was not able to capture Ani's drummer in this session because of those things.
