I will admit it. David Byrne is one of my all-time favorite performers going back to the earliest Talking Heads days. He always puts on a creative, energetic show. His slot at Bonnaroo was no exception. Being that this was on the What Stage...one of the main stages, the stage was about 8 feet high from the pit. If you got to the back of the pit and dodge the bobbing lenses and heads you were able to get some nice angles. Mr. Byrne has been happy to let photographers shoot the whole show this tour (being a photographer himself) but when he was about to announce that, he realized that the media escorts would have been in a panic...everything was 3 songs and out at the whole festival. I was hoping though...

As always, comments and critique are encouraged.

Fun show to shoot as well. Byrne knows his craft and can capture an audience.

Nice set.
#7 kinda looks like an "inbetween songs" shot.

I like #2 best.

Thank you, Rene. # 7 was actually mid-song. The band and dancers were doing a bit of dancing and stage movement to the song I Zimbra. In the right side of the frame you can see a dancer twirling.
