More VT in TN photos. Phish headlined Bonnaroo on Day 2 and Day 4. Stage 12 feet high and each of the guys at least 15 feet back from the edge of the stage made a tough shoot. Along with 500 'togs in the pit moving around was a bit...eh, tough. The lighting desing (stellar) was designed to be seen more than than the band so the lights changed often and were very bright at times. I literally could not change setting fast enough to keep up. There were times that 1/2000 sec and f/22 probably would have been too slow.

I like #1 and #3.

Personally, I'd like to see #1 cropped a little closer on the left. Someone will probably complain about you cutting off the head of the guitar but I don't think it's an issue.

500! Kudos to you for getting shots.

I see that The fellas in the band were jumping and smashing their instruments again. They really need to mellow out.

I've dealt with 15-20 on a platform before but this was beyond my wildest nightmares. Add to the mass of 'tog a pit that was ankle deep in mud in places and it made sense to find a spot and work it hard before trying to find another.

Thank you. Trey and Mike did jump a bit (shot 5) but their usual rage on stage has mellowed a bit.:lol:

looks like tougher lighting than what i got for my phish shoot. #4 is too hot on Page's head, and 7 looks to be pretty soft. i'd say i like #1 the best; great background colors, and a bit less face shadows than #3.

Never say never, Dwight. ;) Sometimes you have to suffer for your art.

Thank you. I like the fun part of #5 as well. Page was so hidden by banks of keyboards that it was hard to get any shot of him. The lighting washed him out. In the press area Page looked well...or at least as well as Page ever looks. ;)

Yes, Tim. The lighting and stage appeared to be harder than Fenway. Thank you for the comments and critique.

Yes, but I got all my suffering out of the way when I was your age! ;)

Damn, Dwight. I thought you were old and wise enough to realize that suffering is inevitable...age indifferent. Must be that Cali new-age stuff.

Naw, you're just showing your age ... or lack of it! Suffering is for the rubes!
