While officially part of the Day 2 schedule at Bonnaroo, Public Enemy didn't start until 12:30AM Central on 6/13/09. So, Day 2 1/2?

PE performed their entire 2nd album It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back to a huge This Tent crowd that wanted something a bit heavier than Phish on the main stage. As we were being escorted out of the pit, Chuck D and Flavor Flav made it a point to shake the hands of every photographer there. The head of stage security was not amused. LOL

FLAVOR FLAAAAAAAAV!!

Awesome set dude, good use of available lighting.
Try not too center your subjects too much, it only results in a more static photo.

I switch my composition around a lot. I try to stay away from centering but at times it seem the best look to me. Thank you for the critique and praise.

Still, one of my favorites. They have heart and power which is often missing from the genre.

i dunno, something about a black guy in a hip-hop band w/ a sunburst les paul looks funny to me!

5's my fave, followed by 8. chuck always wears that hat, tough to chase shadows w/o a flash!

To just call PE a hip-hop band band doesn't seem to do them justice, Tim. What I always liked about PE was their rock roots...although a Flying V would probably be a better match.

Thanks. # 5 is one of my favorites as well. Chuck D was almost completely bathed in shadows. Whereas Flav knew where the lighting was, Chuck D seemed to not know.
